Our beginning

Started with fabric, stayed for the community.

Mohit Textiles was founded in 1984 by Madanlal Chhallaniin Dibrugarh, Assam. The store was built around a simple idea: offer quality textiles with honest service, and earn the kind of loyalty that doesn't need advertising.

Over the decades, the range expanded naturally — from traditional Assamese Mekhela Chadors and sarees to home fabrics, everyday menswear, and seasonal collections. The address stayed the same. So did the approach.

Today, the store continues to be guided by members of the family including Ashish Jain and Ankit Jain, carrying forward Mohit Textiles' long-standing relationship with customers across Dibrugarh and Upper Assam.
